Quindim is a Brazilian sweet made with egg yolks, sugar and coconut. The base recipe is Portuguese but it got its current form in the hands of African cooks. The name too is of African origin (Yoruba? Kimbundu? Different sources say different things) and it means "charming, bashful, sweet".
