I am rather fond of dark magical girls. They are the counterparts to regular magic girls; without them, there wouldn't be a rival/enemy to challenge the magic girls, someone to set up obstacles for them to overcome, and honestly, the story would not be as interesting without them.
Dark magical girls, in my opinion, often have a lot more depth to their character and a much more interesting backstory than the main character magical girls. Please show them some love!
